Booklist Review
This book presents 12 different craft projects designed to appeal to teens. Each project begins with an overview indicating the relative difficulty of the project, the time to allow, the amount of supervision necessary, the appropriate group size, and the Mess Factor. Also included are lists of the required tools, materials, and room setups. Each project concludes with Spin-Offs (other projects that use the same techniques) and Adaptations, which offer ways to adapt the activities for different groups (seniors, younger children, patrons with disabilities, etc.). The directions are straightforward, and black-and-white illustrations are featured throughout. In addition, users can find printable, single-page instruction sheets at the companion Web page. The book concludes with an appendix of supplies, tools, and project materials along with a glossary and a listing of other resources, both print and Internet. This would be a useful resource for anyone interested in increasing or expanding their teen programming.--Ostergard, Maren Copyright 2009 Booklist
