Booklist Review
If you know anyone who wonders what librarians do these days, tell them to read this book. It is an insightful and delightful collection of interviews with librarians working in an incredible array of positions and activities. The 34 librarians interviewed range from reference librarian to cataloger to software expert to social networker to consultant to administrator to free-range information organizer. The individuals discuss what they do, how they got there, how they keep informed, and what skills others who want to follow their path will need. The common theme is that each interviewee is excited and enthusiastic they are all people who truly love doing what they do. This work should be required reading for anyone considering a career in the library and information field. It will also benefit those of us who have been in the field for some time by rekindling the spirit that brought us to this field in the first place.--Tyckoson, David Copyright 2010 Booklist
