Summary
Reading this book carefully will help you in a number of ways. Just by reading each section carefully you will enhance your comprehension skills; exactly what you will be tested for in the reading portions of the entry exams. Your math skills will be tested in conjunction with your reading skills; rather than just being asked to add up a list of numbers or determine a percentage of items lost or found, you might be asked to read a passage on a situation and then asked to do some arithmetical calculations. If you haven't read the situation properly, there is a good chance you will not calculate properly, either. None of this is meant to frighten you; only to impress on you the importance of studying for the written exam and helping you to understand how the State Trooper Exam can give you an extra boost of knowledge and confidence that may translate into the difference between passing and failing.
